Absolute Data Sovereignty

Privacy & Security Architecture

Khuble Billing OS is engineered on a fundamental principle: Absolute Data Sovereignty. The system is built to operate in high-security, low-trust environments by eliminating external server dependencies and locking all operational data within your native hardware.

1. Zero-Cloud Dependency

The most significant security vulnerability in modern POS systems is the continuous transmission of data to remote cloud servers. Khuble OS eliminates this entirely.

  • 100% Localized Processing: All transactional datasets, inventory catalogs, tax indices, and customer risk profiles are processed directly on your device's CPU.
  • No Telemetry or Harvesters: The application does not contain background trackers, analytics harvesters, or silent telemetry pings. KhubleLabs has zero visibility into your daily revenue, inventory margins, or customer data.
  • Air-Gapped Operation: The core engine requires absolutely no internet connection to function. You can run the entire diagnostic and billing suite on a device that is completely disconnected from the web.

2. Cryptographic Engine & Data Isolation

At the heart of the Khuble OS data layer is a highly secure, encrypted localized database.

  • AES-GCM-256 Encryption Layer: The underlying SQLite Room Database is shielded using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with Galois/Counter Mode (GCM) using 256-bit keys. This ensures both data confidentiality and cryptographic integrity against tampering.
  • Sandboxed Environment: On both Android (.APK) and Windows (.EXE) deployments, the database file is structurally isolated within the operating system's native application sandbox. Other apps or malicious background processes cannot access the raw ledger files.
  • Dynamic Structural Validation: Whenever configuration changes are made (e.g., updating a GSTIN or UPI VPA), the internal engine compiles a real-time schema validation check to ensure database integrity is never corrupted by malformed inputs.

3. Complete Data Portability & Ownership

True privacy means you own your data and can move it whenever you choose, without being locked into a proprietary ecosystem.

  • Unrestricted Local Migration Suite: The system features an onboard Data Portability engine. With a single click, you can export your entire operational history—including P&L configurations, inventory matrices, and invoices.
  • Universal JSON Payloads: Exports are compiled into highly structured, human-readable, and machine-parsable JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) payloads. This means your data isn't trapped in a proprietary file format; it can be audited, backed up securely to your own hard drives, or imported into other enterprise systems.
  • Cold Storage Ingestion: You can safely store your JSON backups on encrypted USB drives (cold storage) and ingest them back into Khuble OS on a completely new device via the "Import JSON DB" function.

4. Transactional Privacy & P2P Routing

Khuble OS handles payment routing without acting as a "middleman," ensuring financial privacy.

  • Direct UPI VPA Mapping: When generating Smart-Draft invoices, the system binds your configured Merchant UPI VPA (e.g., name@bank) directly into the layout's QR code.
  • No Intermediary Gateways: Khuble Billing OS does not route your transactions through its own payment servers, nor does it take a percentage cut of your UPI/Bank transfers. The payment travels strictly Peer-to-Peer (P2P) from the customer's bank to your bank.
  • Offline Invoice Rendering: All A4 and Thermal invoice formats are rendered natively on the device's GPU/CPU. No customer receipt data is ever sent to a cloud server for PDF generation.

5. Risk Profiling Privacy

The Customer Credit Health Index is a powerful tool, but it relies on sensitive business data.

  • On-Device Algorithmic Scaling: The risk evaluation engine computes credit buffers and default risks entirely on-device. It analyzes your local settlement timelines without ever referencing or sharing data with external credit bureaus or third-party scoring APIs.
  • Internal Ledger Anonymity: Customer behavioral scores remain locked to your specific merchant instance. Your clients' credit habits are never aggregated into a broader network or shared with other vendors.
